A Portrait of the Artist as Queer

This exhibition was part of my masters thesis at the University of Regina in 2012. Installed at the Fifth Parallel Gallery on campus, the six larger than life charcoal and acrylic on paper figures were bathed in the projection of an inkjet image from Banff, Thunder Bay, Saskatoon, Regina or New York. Chosen by the viewers and placed onto overhead projectors to envelop the figures in each location, the images involved the place and the viewer as part of my self-portrait, emphasizing others' influence towards identity.
