Activated by the model, this half dress, held like a shield, breathes and moves, mimicking the human it nearly hides from view.  Either calm an meditative or shallow and brief, this work explores the relationship between our internal and external selves.   It represents trying to stay composed in a highly charged misogynistic, racist and homophobic atmosphere. The work collapses and expands to meditative breathing.
